- 1Combine salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, Parmesan and basil with the canned tomatoes. In olive oil on medium heat in a large pot saute garlic and onion.
- 2When the onion is translucent add in the canned tomato mix and bring to a boil. Add in 1/2 cup of the chicken stock. Simmer, stirring infrequently, for 30 minutes.
- 3Check the thickness of the sauce and add more stock if you desire a thinner marinara.
